Opportunities & Internships

Internship Program

体育投注网址Internships are a very important facet of the curriculum at Goucher College. As such, the business management faculty members consider well-structured internships to be essential to a student's education. All business management students are required to complete at least one internship.

The variety of internships that have been completed under the supervision of this department is evidence of the flexible and creative applicability of degrees in business management.

体育投注网址Students who are completing the concentration in arts management, for example, have extensive opportunities for rewarding internships due to Goucher's close proximity to numerous arts organizations in the Baltimore-Washington area, as well as in New York and other cities. Many students complete arts-related internships for college credit, usually for three credits; most are done on a volunteer basis, but some opportunities may pay wages or offer a stipend.

Students can find internship opportunities through the Career Education Office, through faculty and staff members, or on their own. Additionally, frequent guest lecturers from the field can also help students arrange internships.

A detailed description of the off-campus experience is published by the Career Education Office each year and fully describes the guidelines and timetable for internships. Students interested in arranging an internship in mathematics or computer science should contact their individual academic advisors.
