Middle East Information Technology Security Conference [MEITSEC]

The Middle East Information Technology Security Conference [MEITSEC] is the region's most prestigious information security events. A was a must-attend event for anyone trying to keep pace with the ever-changing data security landscape. The show featured organizations involved in the design, development and deployment of information security solutions, for legislative and law enforcement institutions, finance and insurance establishments, and all security-conscious organizations.

Organized under the patronage of H. H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi - Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the 5th MEITSEC brought together IT professionals, policy makers, investigators, security experts, industry leaders and scientists - all sharing information and exchanging ideas on critical issues, such as identity theft, hacking, e-forensics, secure online services, perimeter defense, digital espionage, encryption, cyber crime and many other information security-related topics. The show also spotlights law enforcement's role in fighting cyber-terrorism.

During the conference our Director, Mr. Avinash Kadam was a guest speaker at the conference and chaired a programme on ISO 27001 Implementation. Mr. Kadam is a CISA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, GSEC, GCIH), past President and a member of ISACA’s Research board. He was also awarded the Harold Weiss Award, in recognition of his dedication to the IS audit, control and security profession.

Mr. Kadam has been teaching information security topics for the ISACA Mumbai Chapter’s CISA courses for the past 12 years and for its CISM courses for the past four years. He is also a Lead Instructor for ISC2 for its CISSP CBK review seminars and a Lead Instructor for BS 7799/ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Course for Det Norske Veritas.
